dont be so thick! Chinese soldiers queueing up in public to put on robes, use your head!
picture is ridiculously out of context. Yes, china is engaged in human rights abuses. No, this picture doesnt show it.
circulating this sort of twaddle only makes you look stupid.

I feel you have embarrassed yourself with this comment. If you read the post, firstly, when the picture had been passed to the SLLU, I placed it on the blog saying it "seemingly" showed the army with etc...

The next day, after research by one of our members, we found that it was a still from a film - but as e are an open group, and not one to reinvent our history, we retained the comment with the previso - [Edit May 16 '08 - please read above post before circulating], which should redirect readers to the post above, if they have taken the time to read the whole post. Please read that post and I am sure you will find it covers your concerns.

I'm with Dave Mc. I was sent this on facebook - and instantly thought it was load of of tosh and yet many people seem to think it is real ??????? you shouldn't pander to peoples' knee jerk conspiracy theories.

my bet is that they might be filming a movie. A lot troops do that to get some extra cash in China.

Yep - they were. This photo was passed around various web 2.0 networks. It has been proved to be false. It was of a film shoot from a few years previous to the events it was being said to portray.
